Federal Vision Theology

The “Federal Vision” (federal meaning covenant) is a movement attacking the crucial doctrine of justification by faith alone and is being taught and promoted throughout the Reformed church world at present. This erroneous doctrine has its roots in the unbiblical idea of a conditional covenant. It brings nothing new to the theological discussion other than coming with renewed vigor and under the guise of a new name. This doctrine is a direct, bold declaration that holds that every person, child or adult, who has been baptized, is truly saved and united with Christ. Federal vision theology therefore, denies that sovereign election governs the covenant, choosing instead to put free will into the hands of the sinner and grounding one’s justification, in part, on the sinner’s good works.

Creation in Six Days
This past century of scientific advancement in both technology and ideology has not been without influence on the Reformed church world. In most Reformed denominations, creation as accounted for in Genesis 1 has been debated, discounted, and denied. However, we by faith confess that the Bible is the holy, inspired, and infallible word of God. We are confident of Scripture’s testimony that God created the universe in the space of six ordinary days. The theory of evolution is a lie. To forsake the truth of creation is to forsake Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Labor Unions

In a nation built on the foundation of capitalism and democracy, people have fully embraced the idea and reality of labor unions and have done so for decades. However, these unions are without doubt formed for the sole purpose of forcing one’s employer to provide the wages and/or benefits as the employee sees fit. Not only does the union require that members bind themselves to its principle of the unbiblical labor strike, but members often follow suit if the union uses violent tactics to achieve its goals. This is completely contrary to Scripture, which teaches the God-given authority of the employer in occupational relationships.
